CEO / Head Coach
Sean Maye
Since 2007, Coach Sean Maye has worked with student athletes throughout Utah to reach the highest honors in Utah track and field — state championships, state records and college scholarships.
Sean's workouts and strategic race plans maximize the talent of GMA athletes, producing 105 athletes accepted into D1 universities and colleges, 127 state champions and 29 state records.
His passion for coaching comes from his own career. In high school he was a state champion and three-time All-American, and won the Atlanta Area Track Man of the Year award after winning the 400, the 800 and anchoring the 4x400 relay at the state meet.
At Taft College in 1991 he won gold at the World University Games in Sheffield, England, and was inducted into the Taft College Hall of Fame in 2024. At BYU he competed in the 200, 400, 800 and high jump — eight-time All-Conference and eight-time WAC champion — and held the 1993 indoor 400m school record at 46.62 for many years.
He then ran for Team Nike International for six years, ranked among the top athletes in the USA and the world, and won a second gold medal in 1997 at the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Paris as part of the 4x400 relay. He holds a bachelor's and master's degree in Systems Engineering from BYU.
